Incoming plot! Details are under the cut. TL;DR version below. ^_^

Currently, Piper has a happy pink pearl. It makes her happy. It makes her calm. She's enjoying life.

But, what were to happen if Piper suddenly lost her happy pink pearl? Well, she'd want it back, of course. Looking for it will just take too long, so there's a Lost and Found spell Phoebe wrote once to find their grandmother's lost wedding ring, and Piper just happens to remember it.

The spell is already a little weird in canon because it had been adapted from a spell to find a lost person instead of a lost item and the fact that it's being cast for personal gain, but that's all okay, right? Piper knows a reversal, so she's got this covered, Marina. No worries! Any crazy effects will be easily contained!

Only, that's not how things work in Marina.

There are two major things wrong with this spell being cast by Piper to find her own pearl in Marina. First, the spell is being cast for personal gain. In Charmed-verse, that's a biiiiig no-no for good witches. Naturally, that means the spell's going to have some side effects designed to teach the casting witch a lesson. In otherwords, the spell is going to be a little whacked out and overzealous to begin with. But Piper thinks she's got that covered. She forgot to factor in the second thing wrong. Piper's in Marina. Everyone knows that anything needing special powers doesn't work quite perfectly in Marina because of the power dampening effect! In her panicked attempt to make the reversal work, that very power dampening will kick in and prevent the reversal from working! Sure, Piper found her pink happy pearl, but she found a lot of other things, too!

Suddenly, 'lost' items for everyone are appearing all over the dome. That candy wrapper Korra dropped and swept under the rug is now in Sougo's pantry. The piece of paper Deanna wrote her to-do list on six weeks ago and then promptly misplaced is now in plain sight in the computer lab for anyone to find. Those missing socks from Yuuri's laundry after all this time in the dome? They're all back, and falling off the floating speaker island in a cascade of socks!

The selection of items can be random, so, if you want to opt-out, it could simply happen that just none of your character's lost items reappeared. But if you want to opt-in, you could have something really embarrassing thought to have gone missing suddenly reappear in the middle of Sector 0! There are some big restrictions, though.

The only items that can reappear are items that were already currently in the game, and lost in the course of the game, and not things that belong to a character in canon but have not been requested from home. For example: Michiru can't suddenly 'find' Mal's 'lost' gun that got left at home when she walks into her music classroom. Also, items that belonged to characters who were previously dropped will remain lost. Tieria won't suddenly find Neil's lost t-shirt in the library. It does not, however, have to be something that you already specifically threaded in game as your character having misplaced. If you want your character's super hero underwear to hang off the sign of Fusion, feel free to handwave the fact that they lost it somewhere during their time in the game and it's now reappeared!

The other restriction is that it cannot be a lost person, whether someone left behind at home or someone lost in the dimensional stabilizer. For example, Piper can't use the spell to bring back Phoebe, who was in the game and disappeared, nor will it bring in anyone else from home she might want to have with her. Besides, this version of the spell only applies to objects. There's a different version of the spell for lost people. ~_^

When Piper finally gets the reversal spell to work, anything that was found by your character that they wanted to keep will stay. However, anything that wasn't wanted will disappear and be lost again. The spells together are designed to find specific items that are missing and wanted back. So, that missing candy wrapper from before? It'll likely be gone again after the reversal spell is cast. But those socks? They'll stick around if Yuuri wants to keep them.

If you need ideas, some items from the episode this spell was cast in included: clothing such as socks, a run-away dog, Phoebe's natural hair color (she dyed it blonde, but the spell 'found' her 'lost' brown hair), many pencils and pens, several "garage sale" worthy things like lost knick-knacks and unwanted family heirlooms that had been buried in storage... and, yes, they did find the missing wedding ring

TL;DR

- Piper is casting a spell that finds lost things.
- The spell will misfire and cause lost things (things only! no people!) that were already in the game to start appearing all over. Nothing that has not previously been in the game and nothing that used to belong to a dropped character that was lost when the character disappeared from the dome!
- These things can be anything from dyed hair going back to natural colors to misplaced pens to lost jewelry.
- Piper will finally be able to cast the reversal spell early the next morning.
- The reversal spell will only make the items that weren't important be lost again. Anything your character found as a result of the spell that they want to keep can be kept.

This event will be starting next Monday, September 1st for Day 287, and will be finished when Piper can cast the spell at the early on the morning of Day 288, the following Sunday night into Monday morning.

Any questions, feel free to ask in this thread! I've turned off notifs, too, so feel free to use this post to plot and plan if you want someone else to find your character's stuff!
